12 Healthy cafes you must visit in Canggu

Reading Time: 8 minutes

Plant-based food, cute cafes, reliable internet connection and more. Canggu, Bali is known for expats, food lovers, yogis and surfers. Whether you are on holiday, long term travel or working as a digital nomad there are plenty of spots to choose from. The area is relatively spread out and the best way to get around Pantai Berawa, Pantai Batu Bolong and Batu Mejan is by scooter. After living in Canggu for a month we decided to create a list of our favourite places offering vegan options, good coffee and decent WiFi. So don’t beat yourself up and get ready to eat well!

The Shady Shack

Here are the criteria we used for reviewing a cafe:

  1. Vegan options – entirely vegan or vegetarian with vegan options available,
  2. Coffee quality – since we are coffee lovers, amazing taste of coffee is important,
  3. Wifi – beware the internet in Bali can be very inconsistent, however, most places have a good stable connection,
  4. Workspace comfort – where you can find an enjoyable setup, comfy sofas and convenient space to work on a laptop,
  5. Price – not the most important, but we do appreciate budget-friendly places,

It’s one of the rare places to be open from 6 AM so if you are jet lagged or simply a morning person you have got your breakfast sorted. It was really cool to celebrate Gaile’s birthday here.
